1992:  no waco.  no taliban. no internet.  no sons or daughters.  no cell phones.  no x-games.  bill was just a guy from arkansas.  the dow was at 3400.  what an incredible decade since.

the site is meant as a convenient way for us to communicate, since many of us are now living around the country and globe.  we attempted to have a reunion last november, with little success (thank you jenn, gill, crissy, and lisa). word has it we are attempting a a reunion in may.  i'll keep you posted as i find out what is developing.

our people  we have all aged a decade more.  we have all become wiser.  some of us have married.  some of us have moved across the country or the globe.  some of us found our identity.  some of us now have kids.  some of us still are.  some of us are still studying.  some of us now teach.  some of us love the work we do.  some of us don't.  some of us miss hopedale.  some of us are happy it was ten years ago.  all of us promised to keep in touch. some of us have.  most of us haven't.

we have all lost two classmates.  in  september 2001 eric thiffault passed away at his apartment in new york city.  he is surely missed.  not long after graduation (i am still getting details), david diaz died in a car accident in 1993 or 1994.  only 10 years since we were all together last, and 2 of our classmates are no longer with us.  net proceeds from reunion ticket sales, donations, and raffle proceeds at the reunion will be used to establish our class memorial scholarship.  for those who would like to help out in this effort, please contact scott, jenn, or liane.

in two columns on this page you will find the cheesy senior portraits from our yearbook.  click through and you will learn a little bit of who they are now.  if you would like to add your information to the site, please fill out the online form, or email scott.

missing persons:  michael girard,  kevin milhomme, andrea reickert, emily roberts, and juan de la calzada. all these people have had their mail returned to us.  if you know where we can contact them, please let us know!

we have profiles online for 11 people now.  i would like to have current photos of all of us, and even if you do not wish to meet anyone, many of your classmates would like to know what you are up to.  please join us!

our gathering so we are having a reunion.  some of us of course are reluctant, some of us ecstatic.  wherever you fit, be assured, it will be fun.  here are the details:

sometime late may:  (most likely on mothers' day weekend)

i sent out at least two mailers to everyone i had addresses for the first reunion in november.  unfortunately, most of us have moved, and the only way i could try to contact you was to mail these notices to your parents.  i hope you received them.  as we have two months before our next attempt, i hope more of you let us know where you are, or we are more successful in tracking you down (oh yes, we have our ways).

hotels  for those interested in staying in the area for part of the weekend, the area has many hotels and inns.  we will not be making arrangements with any specific hotel due to our size and the easy advantage of web-based brokers.  milford's  5 major hotels are below:

prices from $56 - $90
prices from $75 - $150
prices from $80 - $130
prices from $90 - $120 (formerly the Sheraton)
prices from $75 - $90

our town  what's been going on in hopedale?

schools  the most significant change in the town are the definitely the schools.  memorial school is now twice its size when we were there, incorporating more classrooms, a new multipurpose room, a media center, and services.  for those who remember it, park st school (formerly grades 1 & 2), is now the bright beginnings early childhood center and day care, run by the town.  the high school completed its renovations late last year, but the change is rather significant.  the former teachers' parking lot is now two stories of building.  many of our teachers in high school have since retired, including mr hanam, coach klocek, and mrs greene.  for more about the schools, go here.

town  the town is still a sleepy hollow, one that is now registered as as a National Historic Place by the national park service.  the official dedication will not be until may of next year, but it makes hopedale the state's largest single historic site.  the area, named the "village of hopedale", includes the draper complex and park/pond area, much of the center of town, bancroft park, dutcher and hopedale streets from mendon street to the parklands, and up the hill to the older jones rd / maple st neighborhood.  it earned this designation through the combined efforts of a number of "townies" and due to the town's history as a utopian society and model company town.  for more information on hopedale and the alumni, go here.  of course there has been more residential development, including the construction of homes off greene, plain, and mill streets.  hopedale street had quite a bit of construction on it this fall in an effort to replace water mains and repave the road.
